Admit it.
I know that your plan is to eventually take over the world.
You’re certainly not content to just have a dull JOB.
And you absolutely won’t settle for a teeny business that barely survives each month.
No, your goal is nothing short of total world domination.
I don’t know your reason for wanting to be larger-than-life.
Maybe you want to be influencing millions from your online platform or on a real, live stage.
Maybe you want to make your business huge, and spend your days working on your laptop while overlooking a sparkling Hawaiian ocean.
Perhaps you dream of helping people in that special way of yours.
Or maybe you just want to play more golf and drive a better car.
Whatever your definition of success, the sky is the limit. I’m sure you’ll be a kind and just ruler.
Your huge dream is calling. . .
But to be successful, to truly feel like the world is your oyster, you’re going to need a plan.
Luckily, I’ve created a success plan for you. Here it is:
How to Take Over The World And Achieve Ultimate Success So You Can Be Rich, Happy, and Do Stuff You Like *
(*it’s a working title, so let me know if you want to rename it.)
1. Connect with everyone. In order to rule the world, you’re going to have to be known and loved by all.
I don’t care that you’re destined to be a future world leader – no one has ever done anything truly great without help.
So don’t be afraid to reach out and talk to anyone.
People are so afraid of rejection that they often never reach out at all and that leaves them stuck right where they are.
So if you’re going to make this happen, get comfortable with reaching out, pushing past your comfort zone, and talking to people you might have been scared to approach before.
Remember, if someone refuses to talk to you, that’s often more about them than it is about you.
2. Get out of your comfort zone. While we’re on the subject of comfort zones, let’s talk about leaving yours.
Someone once said to me, “Everything you want for yourself is on the other side of your comfort zone,” and she was right.
It’s not about doing stuff you don’t like for the sake of doing it, it’s about doing what you know you need to do to get you where you want to go, whether you’re comfortable with it or not.
Operating within this particular zone of comfort is what got you to where you are now in life.
And when you want even more success, you have to push beyond your own comfy limits. (Read: What Rainman Can Teach You About Success)
3. Get your message clear. People want a leader that stands for something.
But if no one knows what you stand for (and if you’re a little unclear about it yourself) you’re not going to have that strong pull from others it takes to make it to the top.
Whether you really want to rule the world, or just be the ruler of your own life, understand your goals and motivations deeply.

4. Put one foot in front of the other. It’s possible you’ll make it to the top overnight, but it will likely be a long road.
When it comes to achieving any goal, remember that the stick-to-it-ness is a huge factor. As in 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration.
5. Learn from the best. If there’s ever been anyone who has done whatever you want to do (whether it involves taking over the world or not), you don’t have to start from scratch.
Tony Robbins said, “If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do and you’ll achieve the same results.”
Makes sense, right?
6. Believe. No matter how much or how little “hocus-pocus” you believe in, the fact remains that your mindset plays a huge role in whether or not you can achieve something.
But sometimes, no matter how much we try, we just can’t convince ourselves that we’re capable of achieving something mind-bogglingly amazing.
So give up the struggle, and just focus on that next little goal you can believe.
Keep doing that until you’re an inch away from ultimate power, and I promise, from that vantage point you’ll believe it too. (Read: Dreaming 2.0)
I’m dying to know – what is the huge goal you’re working to achieve?
