When new people are interested in your content, they might also be interested in other things you have to say. That means they might come back to your website and opt-in to your email list. The bigger your email list, the better – because this is your customer base.

I will select a low-competition high-volume keyword (longtail) that is related to your expertise, so that your post gets visibility. I'm not an SEO expert (by any means) but it's in my interest to help your content get seen.

Backlinks

Because you'll get a "do follow" link on my blog, you get "SEO juice" flowing back to you. This means that Google gives you a little boost because your website link appears on an external site. 

Reusable Content

This content doesn't just have to get used once. You can link to it on social media, post about it in your newsletter, write about it and link back to it on your own blog (do follow, please!) and more. In fact, I hope you do!
